Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Foot Care Nurse?
A foot care nurse is a registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) who has special training in foot care. A foot care nurse helps senior citizens or anybody with foot care needs when they are unable to do it on their own. They may also work closely with your current providers such as your podiatrist, primary care doctor, and others to assist with keeping you mobile and to help prevent other foot problems from occuring. This does not mean you stop seeing your current providers. The foot care nurse’s goal is to work with your current health care providers to improve your overall foot health.
